How It Works?
Step 1
Identification
The process begins with identification. At this stage, the need for a Mail-in Unlock is clearly indicated. No ambiguity: if an Unlock is required, the AutoTuner interface will alert you and redirect you to the Mail-in Unlock.

Purchase the Mail-in Unlock
Buy your Mail-in Unlock service directly on our website.
Some cars have two ECUs so you'll need to purchase an unlock for both.
Step 3
Disassembly of the ECU
Once the need is confirmed, you must proceed with disassembly. We provide detailed resources to help you in this step: video tutorials, diagrams, technical tips… everything is designed to make the operation easier, even if you are not used to it.
Step 4
Pickup and shipment to AutoTuner
Shipping is simplified to the maximum. We provide a pre-filled DHL Express label and clear instructions to schedule the pickup of the package at your workshop or another address. You don’t have to manage transport: once the label is printed and the package prepared, DHL handles the rest.
Step 5
Mail-in Unlock procedure
This is when our technical team intervenes. The method used is deliberately confidential. Why this level of secrecy? Simply because this guarantees the effectiveness and longevity of our solution.
Step 6
ECU return
Once the Unlock is completed, the ECU is returned in record time. We don’t joke about timelines.
Step 7
Reassembly and finalization
Upon receipt, you just have to reinstall the ECU in the vehicle and continue your work.

This is false. Thanks to full integration of logistics with DHL Express, the delays are significantly reduced. In practice, we see timelines of 48 to 72 hours in most cases. It depends on your location and when you schedule the pickup. Rest assured we do everything to make the process as fast as possible.
