Tuning options for the VAG group's flagship diesel engines are taking a major leap forward on your AutoTuner Tool!
As you know, our Tool already supported certain variants of the MD1CS004 H80 ECU directly via the diagnostic port (OBD). However, due to continuous factory software updates and sophisticated security patches, a significant number of these ECUs remained completely locked and out of reach for workshops.
Today, we are removing all limitations with our Mail-in Unlock service! This strategic update allows you to open up Bench mode access for these modules. Most importantly, it covers all MD1CS004 variants that were previously unsupported via OBD, while simultaneously adding full support for the brand-new MD1CS104 ECU (up to 2025 models).
🔒 A secure workflow (Mail-in ➡️ Bench): To safely bypass the toughest factory protections on these modern 2.0 TDI CR engines (EA288 evo generations and beyond), a seamless two-step workflow is now available:

Mail-in Unlock: Send the ECU to our headquarters for a secure hardware unlock by our engineering specialists.

Bench: Once returned to your shop, software locks are a thing of the past. You gain unrestricted Bench NR access to read and flash directly on your workbench!
